EPISODE 26 "The Birth of Super Sonic" The Episode starts off with a recap of last episodes conclusion. Eggman has taken Chris captive, he has six Chaos Emeralds, and is on his way to get the last with Sonic in hot pursuit. The sun is rising over a beautiful day in Station Square. Danny, Frances, and Helen are on their way to school when they see Dr. Eggman's Eggfort 2 pass over the city. Sonic blasts past them, desperately trying to catch up to the Eggfort. In the Eggfort, Decoe and Bocoe have trapped Chris to the bulkhead of the bridge with large metal bands and rivets. Eggman watches Sonic on the monitor, racing after them. He exults that he will be unstoppable once he has the final Chaos Emerald. At the dump, E-77 waits patiently for Dr. Eggman with the Grey Chaos Emerald. GUN is tracking the Eggfort via satellite as the ship passes over Station Square. The President asks his Secretaries what Eggman might be planning. The GUN Secretary tells him that they are ready to launch their secret project against Eggman. The President orders GUN to take any and all measures possible against Eggman, and to not allow him to use the Chaos Control against the country. Tails, Chuck, Cream, Cheese, and Amy are trailing after the Eggfort, following it through intercepted GUN transmissions. The GUN team from last episode is flying back to Station Square in several Chinook helicopters. Rouge tells Topaz not to worry about the boy. Topaz can't help but worry about what will happen to a child in Dr. Eggman's hands. Under their chopper, Knuckles is clinging to the undercarriage, angry at having been tricked by Eggman again, and allowing Chris to be taken hostage. Meanwhile, E-77 signals happily at the Eggfort 2. Eggman laughs, his hunch about "Lucky" finding the Emerald being correct. The Doc lowers a giant hand from the ship to pick up the robot. Just as E-77 is about to jump on, Sonic comes blazing in and destroys the hand, sending E-77 flying. E-77 luckily lands on a old mattress, still holding the Emerald. Eggman sighs at E-77's good fortune, as Sonic admonishes the Doc that he'll have to do better then that to get the Chaos Emerald. Eggman is quite surprised when E-77 begins to hand Sonic the Emerald, but before he hands it over, the GUNers arrive, nearly crushing the pair under a Beatle Tank. Sonic cat-calls Eggman, saying he nearly got him with that one. Eggman is puzzled, he asks Decoe if he had launched any robots when he was preoccupied. Decoe answers negative, and receives a pat on the noggin' for his trouble. The tank crews position the tanks, announcing to Eggman to surrender to the Super Beatle Tanks or risk destruction. Sonic tries to stop them, yelling that Chris is trapped on board, but the crews ignore him. The commander fires a large laser at the Eggfort, using the reconstructed technology from Eggman's various wrecked machines. The blast hits the ship, but causes no visible damage to the craft. Eggman and his lackeys stare in amazement at the power of the Beatle Tanks. Sonic tries to wave them off, but the three tanks fire in unison this time, scoring direct hits and seeming to have obliterated the Eggfort 2. However, the Eggfort's shields hold, leaving a very pissed-off Eggman wonder how these primitive humans could have launched such an attack. Bocoe scans the tanks, revealing Dr. Eggman's armor, engines, and weapons having been reversed-engineered and built into the tanks. Eggman activates the weaponry on the Eggfort, seeking to destroy these newcomers and Sonic in one fell swoop. Chain-guns and missiles fly, turning the dump into a melee of shrapnel. Sonic and E-77 barely escape the barrage. Eggman then activates the 'Egg-Beam', a huge laser cannon on the underside of the ship. The dump explodes in a firestorm. Eggman laughs triumphantly, thinking he has seen the last of those GUN tanks. E-77 is sent flying again, the blast propelling him skyward. The Beatles survived without even a dent. That armor Eggman has is phenomenal, even against his own weaponry. Sonic also survived the blast. Eggman decides to ignore the Beatles and chase down E-77. Sonic sees the Eggfort pull away and gives chase. The Beatle crews chase the Eggfort, switching over to flight mode. As Eggman flies after the freefalling robot, the Beatles begin to overtake Sonic. Seeing as he won't be able to get E-77 before he hits the ground, he takes to the sky, jumping up on one of the Beatle Tanks, then hurtles his way to the next one in the line. On the final tank, Sonic runs as fast as he can manage on the short runway and launches himself past the Eggfort. Eggman panics as he sees Sonic again has not given up on beating him. Sonic catches "Lucky" in his fall. Lucky is so grateful that he gives Sonic the Emerald and even floats themselves to the ground on his stubby ear-wings. Eggman is now REALLY ticked off. He orders the Eggfort to switch over to robot mode. Decoe and Bocoe disengage the three ships, then meld it back together in a new combination to create E-99, "EGG EMPEROR". Eggman chuckles nastily, warning Sonic that he is now in for a world of hurt. The Egg Emperor lands in Station Square's harbor, raise a huge wave of ocean water. Sonic, now drenched, challenges Eggman to nail him, them proceeds to make fun of him at top speed. Eggman brings up the six Chaos Emeralds that he had obtained last episode. He activates the Green Emerald, which energies allow E-99 to be able to begin tracking Sonic. The Red is activated, which allows the targeting systems to see Sonic instead of a blue blur. With an evil chuckle, Eggman locks in all six. Chris screams Sonic's name. Sonic jumps to attack E-99, but it Chaos Controls, only to appear directly behind him. It wallops Sonic hard, sending him through two buildings and making a dent in a third. Eggman has now got Sonic right where he wants him. Chaos Control allows him to warp far faster then Sonic and beat him to a pulp. Sonic tries again to attack, but the robot's blinding speed allows it to smack him to the ground. Tails uses the X Tornado to buzz E-99, but to no avail. Amy tells him to destroy it, but he can't. Chris is on board and it would destroy them in a flash with Chaos Control. The GUN tanks appear again to offer battle, but they are no match for the Chaos powered Egg Emperor. The Chaos energies give the Bot a mind of it's own, and it quickly smashes the GUNers and tanks into confetti. Decoe and Bocoe plead with Eggman to stop E-99, but he can't, the Emeralds have given to robot life, and it acts on it's own now. Sonic is bloodied, but not beaten. He calls out for Eggman to stop the machine, but it Chaos Controls and tries to flatten him. It misses once, but not twice. The robot pounds the ground where Sonic is, who is taking the beating of a lifetime. On the bridge, Chris yells Sonic's name in horror. Topaz and Rouge watch in terror as E-99 makes rubble fly. Rouge recognizes the Chaos Emeralds at work. E-99 picks up Sonic by his back quills. Eggman and lackeys are distressed by Chris's wild behavior, they order E-99 to drop the hedgehog. E-99 complies, then dropkicks him out to sea. As Eggman and his bots tremble in fear, Chris remembers Sonic's exploits on Earth, his defeating Eggman on his base, his saving the day every time, and Chris's rescue of him from his pool. Sonic disappears beneath the waves. Chris wails in pain, frustration, anger, and grief. So great are his emotions, he break free of his metal bonds and yanks out the active Chaos Emeralds, which injure him greatly. E-99 cannot use Chaos Control, and Knuckles drops in from the hovering helicopters. He demands Eggman stop at once, and when the Doc hems and haws, punches the deck of the bridge to get his points across. Knuckles looks around for Chris, but Rouge already has him, and the six Chaos Emeralds. Chris struggles trying to find a way to help Sonic, and falls from Rouge's arms. Rouge manages to grab Chris, but the six Emeralds drop into the ocean. However, E-99 grabs them both from the air and begins to crush them in it's hand. Underneath the water, a reaction has begun. The ocean begins to froth, and a yellow glow emanates from below. Amy and Cream cry out, realizing that Sonic is still alive. Super Sonic is born! He disintegrates E-99's hand, freeing Rouge and Chris. Decoe and Bocoe clutch at Eggman, scared now beyond belief. Eggman is too shocked to be afraid. He says since Sonic now has all seven Chaos Emeralds, he is now all-powerful, invincible. E-99 tries to smash him to the ground, but he holds up the robots arm like it was tin foil. He tells Knuckles to get out of there, then he slices through E-99 at light speed, blowing it up and activating a monstrous Chaos Control. The Chaos Control spreads for miles, totally enveloping Station Square, Area 99, the Mansion, everything. When the light clears, Super Sonic is standing by the injured Chris. Sonic heals him at a touch, when Chris hugs him close. He cries, not wanting Sonic to leave, but he disappears. The Emeralds power is used, and Sonic is gone. Chris looses a loud wail of Sonic's name... When all is said and done, Earth and the furry's worlds are melded. Knuckles has been reunited with Angel Island.
